The inspiration for Bionyalux stemmed from the desire to address the environmental pollution caused by the burning of bagasse, a byproduct of sugarcane processing. Recognizing the potential for resource wastage, the design team decided to recycle the bagasse into the packaging of their new skincare product. This decision not only reduced environmental pollution but also added a unique aesthetic appeal to the product.
What sets Bionyalux apart is its unique properties, including a 30-day skin improvement care course and a 60-day food security level shelf-life. The numbers 30 and 60 were integrated into the visual design, along with the three-step skincare process. The outer packaging, made from refined bagasse fibers, is round, while the inner packaging is designed for easy carrying and placement.
The realization of Bionyalux was not without its challenges. The application of bagasse in packaging, especially in cosmetics, presented numerous obstacles. However, through continuous attempts and innovations, the team successfully overcame these hurdles, creating a product that is not only environmentally friendly but also visually appealing.
The project, which began in April 2018 in Beijing and concluded in November of the same year, was met with positive reception. Upon its debut on sales platforms such as TMALL and JD, Bionyalux quickly gained the support and love of consumers, thanks to its environmental concept. This success further improved the brand's goodwill among both new and existing consumers.
In conclusion, Bionyalux is a testament to the potential of sustainable design in the cosmetics industry. Its success serves as a reminder that environmental consciousness and aesthetic appeal do not have to be mutually exclusive. As 33 and Branding Co., Ltd. continues to push the boundaries of design, one can only anticipate what innovative solutions they will come up with next.
